  • Lighting must operate for a minimum of 1,800 annual hours.
  • The controls can be on/off, stepped or dimming.
  • The on/off controller should turn off artificial lighting when the interior illumination meets the desired indoor lighting level.
  • The stepped controller generally dims the artificial lighting 50% when the interior illumination levels reach 50% of the desired lighting levels.
  • Requires commissioning in order to ensure proper sensor calibration and energy savings.
  • Floor plans and control schedules must be submitted for pre-approval.
  • Cannot be combined with central lighting or occupancy sensors.
