Required Documentation:
- Spec sheets for pumps.
- Annual hours of operation.
- Proposed lighting control strategies.
- Projects >100,000 sf must export kWh readings from control system in an excel spreadsheet with maximum of 15 minute intervals over a 2 week period.
Important Consideration:
- PEI values for qualified pumps are found at the Hydraulic Institute – Energy Rating website (er.pumps.org/ratings/search).
- Pumps with VFDs could be eligible for a separate measure, if not required by code for new construction. • Pumps > 50 HP could be eligible for a custom application.
- Applicability: Eligible for retrofit or certain new construction projects.
- Baseline efficiency: Constant load/constant speed pumps are considered the baseline with the PEI calculated in the table below.
- Qualifying efficiency requirement: Eligible pump classes are: End Suction Frame Mounted (ESFM), End Suction Close Coupled (ESCC), In-Line (IL), Radially Split Multi-Stage Vertical In-Line (RSV), Vertical Turbine - Submersible (VTS).
- Other requirements: If the existing pump has variable speed controls, then the new pump must have variable speed controls.
