This incentive is available for insulating existing domestic hot water (DHW) supply systems operating at a minimum of 120°F hot water supply temperature with no existing insulation.

Required Documentation:
- Manufacturer’s name.
- Insulation material type.
- Material K-value or R-value rating.
Important Consideration:
- Piping 3-inch nominal pipe diamter and larger may qualify as a custom measure.
- Applicability: eligible for retrofit applications only.
- Baseline Efficiency: uninsulated DHW supply piping systems.
- Qualifying Efficiency Requirement:
- A minimum of R-4 of pre-formed pipe insulation must be added to existing bare metal pipe system application.
- Bare pipe size must be 1/2 inch to 2 1/2 inch nominal pipe diameter.
- Insulation used for pipes shoul dbe high-density fiberglass insulation or closed-cell elastomeric foam insulation shaped for pipes.
- Other Requirements: minimum of 10 linear feet and maximum of 500 linear feet per boiler system.
- Exclusions: new or recently repaired piping does not qualify.
