This incentive applies to the installation of a new all-electric or hybrid (servo hydraulic) injection molding machine, either to replace an existing hydraulic or as a new installation to expand production capacity. This measure does not apply to used equipment.

- Barrel insulation:

- Blankets must be installed on equipment that previously has not had insulation.
- Blankets must be used in applications recommended by the blanket manufacturer.
- VSD or servo hydraulic molder machines:

- Hydraulic injection molding machines use a hydraulic motor for the main screw drive as well as hydraulics for other functions, such as clamping and ejection.
- The proposed injection mold machine must operate at least 4,000 hours/yr and have an annual minimum.
- Production rate of 1,000 lbs. per machine ton.
- This incentive is available for installation of new servo hydraulic injection mold machines and variable speed motor retrofits for existing hydraulic injection molding machines.
- This incentive cannot be combined with either a hybrid or all-electric machine.
