- Conditioned space must be kept between 65˚F and 75˚F during operating hours.
- System must have current fresh air requirements ≥10 percent of supply air requirements.
- CO2 sensors must be installed in conjunction with fully functioning air-side economizers.
- Dual-temperature air-side economizers with zone-level CO2 sensors for rooftop units qualify.
- Return system CO2 sensors are required for built-up systems.
- Controlled space must meet the minimum requirements of the current ASHRAE 62 standard, as well as all local building codes and manufacturers recommendations.
- CO2 must control the outside air or VAV air dampers.
- The incentive is calculated per square foot of area controlled.
- Floor plans and controls schedules must be submitted with the application.
Retro-commissioning only:
- All above requirements apply except the DCV control is not working optimally.
- Existing - Must submit documentation (e.g. EMS screenshots, sequence of operations, functional testing documentation) showing sensor not used to reduce VAV damper position (and thus AHU fan speed) and/or outside air damper position beyond minimum in existing case.
- Proposed - Must submit documentation showing sensor used to reduce VAV damper position and/or outside air damper position beyond minimum in proposed case.
